Full Time Pastor
Lansdowne Evangelical Free Church is seeking a new Pastor following a
ministry of over 20 years of our current Pastor, who is leaving to take up a new calling.
We are an urban church in south London of 54 members with up to 80
attending each week. We are a credo Baptist church with an Elder led
congregational leadership model.
This is a full time permanent role. Any applicant must be a committed Christian in doctrine and practice.
We are prayerfully seeking a man who:
- Has a love for God, for his people and for his Word.
- Be able to communicate God’s Word to all ages, primarily in our Sunday
services, but also in our other meetings and, where appropriate.
individually:
- Show Christian character in his own life, situation and in dealings with other people.
- Be evangelistic-minded, passionate about reaching the local community with the gospel.
- Be involved in the pastoral care of the church and the training,
development and equipping of the membership.
Consequently the man to be the new pastor will be committed to:
- Preaching and teaching
- Pastoral care
- Evangelism and outreach
- Disciple making of all those who attend and developing future leaders for
the church.
- The doctrinal position of the church as outlined in the basis of faith
Ideally the man will have previous leadership experience.
The stipend will depend on experience and accommodation requirements
Please note:
- Applications can only be considered from those who are UK citizens or
who otherwise have a right to work in the UK.
- You will need to be able to declare acceptance of the FIEC doctrinal basis
and agreement with the FIEC ethos statements.
